About Rex Spects
We ask a lot of our dogs; days on the trail, hours on the river, and peak upon peak.
Rex Specs dog goggles are designed with durability and functionality first. Tested in the mountains of Jackson Hole.
Wyoming, Rex Specs are proven to stay on through the biggest adventures to the laziest afternoons.
Rex Specs Background
We didn't realize how much we cherished our daily outdoor excursions with our dogs until we were told they had to stop. A few years ago, both of our dogs were diagnosed with harmful eye conditions made worse by extended exposure to the sun. Tuckerman, our lanky German Shepherd has Pannus and Yaz (named after the famous Red Sox star) suffered from chronic sunburn around her fair husky eyes. We were told by our vet that we either had to limit their time in the sun or find some sort of dog goggle. After not finding a goggle that could handle our adventures, we created our own.
Rex Specs are now being used to protect against a wide range of harms during everything from helicopter deployment to mountain hikes to sidecar rides.
Here's to our dogs and all the adventures shared!
Cheers,
Jesse & Aiden (Founders)
